Full Membership

Full Membership is open to individuals, families and groups who have paid the annual membership fee and who agree to participate under the Aims and Objectives of the Association.

The membership year is January 1 to December 31. Memberships purchased after September 1 of any year are valid for the whole of the following year. Fees are made payable to Alberta Orienteering Association.

Full Membership fees cover affiliation with a local club, (currently FWOC or EOOC), the AOA and the COF.  Full members receive reduced rates at all AOA and COF sanctioned events and are entitled to receive all issues of the Re-entrant and Orienteering Canada newsletters.  Full members are also entitled to the benefits of programs of the AOA, which include but are not limited to: Pursuit of Excellence funding, other special funding schemes and participation in AOA clinics and retreats.

Club Membership

Membership in the local club only.  Club members receive reduced rates only at their local club's events.

Recreational Membership

“Pay as you go”. Individual pays non-member rates at local events and is not eligible to compete in AOA sanctioned events and championships.
